LES MISÈRABLES LECTURE AT FLETCHER LIBRARY
(Weston, VT) --- Revolution, love, justice, and the
evolution of the world’s most popular musical…..these
are a few of the themes that will be explored on Sunday,
April 6 at 3pm when the Weston Playhouse Theatre Co.
presents “Liberté, Fraternité and
LES MIS” at the Fletcher Memorial Library
in Ludlow. Enjoy French snacks, listen to the music,
and learn the story of Boublil and Shönberg’s
LES MISÈRABLES in this free Stage Door
Series lecture offered by WPTC Education Director Lauryn
Axelrod.
Based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo, LES MISÈRABLES
tells the story of ex-convict, Jean Valjean, who becomes
a force for good in the world, but can’t escape
his past. With soaring music, exciting spectacle, and
grand emotion, LES MIS has captured the hearts
of theatergoers around the world. LES MISÈRABLES
will receive its Vermont Premiere on the Weston Playhouse
MainStage from July 31-August 23, 2008.
