ACCESS SERVICES

Audio Description

Audio-description is a live narration of the visual elements of a production. The narration is scripted and rehearsed to be timed for pauses in the dialogue or musical interludes. Blind and low-vision patrons listen via a small headset receiver.

When purchasing tickets, blind/low vision patrons should tell the Box Office representative they wish to reserve a headset. Plan to arrive by 2:30PM to receive headsets, have a chance to touch and handle selected props and costumes, and listen to the pre-show description of sets, major characters and other production elements. Aisles between rows are quite roomy and guide dogs are welcome.
