Attended Opening Night and enjoyed it. Would recommend it, but it is definitely not for children. Every bad word including the “F” word was spoken. In fact the “F” word was demonstrated with full frontal puppet nudity with undisguised body parts and using every position–plus–and for several minutes and more than once in the show!!!!! WHEW!!! Hilarious!!!!
Lucy the Slut was adorable and her puppeteer really did a wonderful job pole dancing, etc. Considering that all puppets were only waist long, that was amazing!
I forgot to leave my survey answers, so here goes! When first puppet, Princeton, appeared I looked at him first and then at the Puppeteer to see if he was being a ventriloquist or if he was moving his lips. The latter was true for all puppeteers. Halfway through the show I began concentrating more on the Puppeteers than the puppets.
The songs were many, tuneful, and had clever lyrics. Two of the voices were outstanding: Sharon Wheatley and Christine Toy Johnson. I liked the use of the TV overhead. Very clever!
Only one criticism: I would eliminate the Gary Coleman character–Let him rest in peace! BUT, Zonya Love, the actress portraying him did an outstanding job.
