Job Title: Charge Artist

Position(s) available: 1
Type: Seasonal Department Head
Department: Production
Reports to: Technical Director, Production Manager
Work week: 6 Days, 8 - 10 hours/day (often overnight during changeovers)
Housing included: Single room, shared kitchen and bath in company housing

Responsibilities:
• Painting all scenery and prop elements for 6 shows on 2 stages.
• Work with Technical Director and Production Manager to ensure that all shows are completed on schedule and on budget.
• Supervise paint staff of 1 full-time assistant and occasional intern
• Communicate with Set Designers about all paint requirements.
• Attend all necessary production meetings.
• Communicate with other production departments, designers, stage managers, and other guest artists to ensure the safe and effective implementation of all scenic elements.
• Order all necessary materials and supplies.

Requirements:
• Mastery of all common scenic art techniques and practices.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years professional experience in scenic art or equivalent.
• Solid organizational and communication skills.
• Well-established skills in budgeting time, resources and labor.
