Staff positions, internships, and volunteer opportunities at Weston are inspired by a synergy of creative excellence and Vermont values.
Weston is the oldest professional theatre in the State of Vermont, and thirteenth oldest in the nation. Located in the bucolic village of Weston, the Company produces a robust summer schedule of blockbuster musicals, classic plays, and groundbreaking new works on two stages. In addition to a dynamic education and outreach program, Weston is closing in on its campaign for the future, Growing the Arts at Walker Farm. The development of a brand new Center for the Arts will allow the Company to produce its regular schedule of summer works on the Playhouse stage, while extending its new works programs year-round. Weston is an equal opportunity employer with opportunities for theatre artists, technicians, administrators, young theatre professionals, and community volunteers. What’s really special about Weston is we have the combination of a high level of artistry and a high level of humanity. There are a lot of companies around the country that do really good work and are not fun places to be on the inside. And there are plenty of places around the country — which Weston was — that are not doing the work that they would like to or should, but are creating family. Weston is finally at the point where it’s doing both. And I can say that with huge confidence. - Steve Stettler, Producing Artistic Director, Weston Playhouse
