WESTON PLAYHOUSE
THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS THE
7th
ANNUAL LONDON THEATRE TOUR
May 15 - 24, 2007
Dear Theatre Enthusiast,
I want to invite you to join me and Tour Director
Giles Ramsay
for the Weston Playhouse’s 7th annual London
Theatre Tour, a unique and unforgettable
visit to the world’s greatest theatre capital.
This year’s tour, scheduled from May
15 to 24, has been planned to coincide
with the opening of the famed Chelsea
Flower Show; gardening enthusiasts may
want to extend their stay to take in this international
event.
Your home-away-from-home will again be the four-star
Washington Mayfair
Hotel, located just across from Shepherd
Market and a block from Green Park in elegant
Mayfair. You’ll enjoy six
performances, chosen from the latest West
End hits; classics by the National Theatre, Old
Vic and Shakespeare’s Globe; cutting edge
work and new plays at the London Fringe; complemented
by a guided tour of London’s East End art
galleries and an optional classical
concert.

The unquestioned highlight of each
trip is the stimulating
discussion with tour leaders and fellow travelers.
As always, the group will meet with top
theatre artists, critics, and political journalists,
providing a rare “behind the scenes” look
at theatre and the issues of the day. Meals will include
private dinners at the brasserie/jazz bar Le
QuecumBar and the top-rated theatre restaurant
The Ivy, and traditional
English high tea at Dartmouth
House, the 16th century home of the English Speaking
Union.

Irons.

The tour allows ample free
time every day for shopping, sightseeing and
relaxing – there is even time for a day trip to
Hampton Court or Windsor. You’ll receive complete
welcome packets with
maps and guidebooks, and recommendations of additional
plays, concerts and exhibitions. Private coach
transportation is provided to all venues not
within walking distance.
A deposit of $1000 per person
will hold your space. And if you pay in full by the
registration deadline of December
15, you're guaranteed no additional charge, no
matter how the dollar fluctuates! The price of $4120
per person includes hotel, ground transportation,
all performance tickets, many meals and a tax-deductible
contribution of $300 to the Weston Playhouse. We will
recommend flights from Boston and New York and a travel
agent for ease of booking; air travel is the responsibility
of the participants. The group is limited to 35 participants,
with reservations taken in the order received.
Interest in this year’s trip is already strong,
so fill out the reservation
form today and mail it with your payment
to: WPTC London Tour, 703
Main Street, Weston, VT 05161.
I hope you’ll join us this spring in London!
