WESTON PLAYHOUSE THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS THE

8th ANNUAL
LONDON THEATRE TOUR
January 6-15, 2009

Dear Theatre Enthusiast,

I want to invite you to join me and Tour Director Giles Ramsay for the Weston Playhouse’s 8th annual London Theatre Tour, a unique and unforgettable visit to the world’s greatest theatre capital. This year’s tour, scheduled from January 6 to 15, 2009, is an ideal time to enjoy the many shows that have opened over the holidays without the holiday crowds and prices.

Your home-away-from-home will be the four-star Radisson Edwardian Grafton Hotel, just minutes from Regents Park, the British Museum, Oxford Street and London’s West End. You’ll enjoy six performances, likely including Sir Derek Jacobi in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Matthew Bourne’s dance adaptation of Edward Scissorhands at Sadler’s Wells, a visit to the flagship National Theatre, and cutting edge work and new plays at the London Fringe. An art expert will prepare us for a visit to a major exhibition, possibly the National Gallery’s Renaissance Faces: Van Eyck to Titian, and we will recommend an optional classical concert.

The unquestioned highlight of each trip is the stimulating discussion with tour leaders and fellow travelers. As always, the group will meet with top theatre artists, critics, and political journalists, providing a rare “behind the scenes” look at theatre and the issues of the day. We will also enjoy a Master Class in acting at the Royal Academy for Dramatic Art, and private dinners at two London favorites, perhaps the ever-popular Guinea Grill off famed Berkeley Square and the lavish 18th century Home House.

The tour allows ample free time every day for shopping, sightseeing and relaxing. You’ll receive complete welcome packets with maps and guidebooks, and recommendations of additional plays, concerts and exhibitions. Private coach transportation is provided to all venues.

A deposit of $1000 per person will hold your space. The price of $4250 per person (double occupancy) includes hotel, ground transportation, all performance tickets and many meals. A tax-deductible contribution of $300 per person is added to the total cost of the trip. We will recommend flights from Boston and New York and a travel agent for ease of booking; air travel is the responsibility of the participants. The group is limited to 35 participants, with reservations taken in the order received.

Interest in this year’s trip is already strong, so fill out the reservation form today and mail it with your payment to: WPTC London Tour, 703 Main Street, Weston, VT 05161.

I hope to see you in London!
