Planned Giving
The WPTC Encore Society
The majority of our funding comes from the public–people
like you who give generously throughout their lives.
As critical as annual cash gifts are to the Weston Playhouse
Theatre Company, bequests, deferred gifts and other
tax planning approaches – or planned gifts –
represent a unique and mutually beneficial way of giving.
Planned Gifts are a satisfying way to support the WPTC
and at the same time plan for your own financial
security and that of your family.
Over the last few years, a number of our friends and
supporters have informed us that they have made arrangements
for the WPTC to be the beneficiary of a planned gift.
If you choose to make a legacy gift, you will help the
Theatre Company maintain the programs you have supported
and cared about during your lifetime and ensure vital
support for programs that will improve the cultural
landscape and quality of life in our community for generations
to come.
Your gift will be added to WPTC’s endowment fund as permanent capital for the theatre, with only the interest that accrues from the principal used to fund our programs.
You can continue to make a difference in the lives that follow.
Some ways that you can start today…
• Make sure you have an up-to-date will (or living trust) that reflects your charitable objectives.
• Contact your financial advisor and ask for help in establishing a charitable gift.
• In addition to cash gifts, you can leave stocks, real estate, insurance policies and personal property to charitable organizations.
• Make your favorite charity a beneficiary of your life insurance, pension plan or IRA.
