New WORKs - Stage Readings & Workshops Description: New or classic plays or musicals are rehearsed, sometimes revised, and shared in simple book-in-hand readings. Details: Equity actors rehearse 6-8 hours a day with a director and, as needed, a composer, music director, dramaturg, artistic director and stage manager, for 3-10 days under Actors' Equity Association Casual Employment Rider and Stage Reading guidelines. The work culminates in a free public reading, sometimes followed by a focused discussion.
