Campaign for the Weston Theatre

Be a part of our future.

For eight decades, in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company has done the improbable – created and sustained an acclaimed professional theatre in a village of 500 people.

Now, strengthened by our deep roots in Vermont and in the American theatre landscape, the company is taking the most important step in our history: to create a nationally recognized center for the development of the theatre arts.

Our Campaign for the Weston Theatre will create an Incubator for new works for the theatre right here in Weston– a place where playwrights, directors, composers, and librettists will come to work on their new works in the quiet rural environment away from the distractions of the city.

To learn more about what is planned for the new space, visit The Future: Growing the Arts at Walker Farm.

“The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company is one of the cultural jewels of the Northeast, and their plans to create a year-round residency for playwrights and composers will brilliantly augment our artistic landscape. Yet another reason for Vermont to be a destination for artists and audiences alike.” - Philip Himberg, Artistic Director, Sundance Institute Theatre Program
