Before & After the Show.
Rogan and Abby Lechthaler of Ludlow’s famed Downtown Grocery & Mama's Handmade Italian are back this summer with an inspired, locally-sourced, of the moment menu! Let us save you a table downstairs at the Playhouse to enjoy their top-flight food, spirited cocktails, and warm hospitality; all complemented by the best view in town -- Weston's historic mill & falls.
About Chef Rogan. A Weston native, Rogan cut his culinary chops at prestigious venues likes Boston’s Ritz Carlton and Mistral Bistro, and a couple of Relais Chateaux properties; Tennessee’s Blackberry Farm and Vermont’s Pitcher Inn. Featured in The Wall Street Journal, GQ, and Garden & Gun, his cuisine is light, bright, seasonal, and from scratch. At West Town Eatery, Rogan’s passion for locally-sourced and house-made ingredients combine with Abby’s irresistible southern charm to make a perfect opening act.
"Dinner before a show should be a positive, energetic, creative, and memorable experience. We’re delivering a fun, high energy atmosphere that sets guests on the track to be totally entertained, and ready for what the night may hold," says Abby.
But, the Lechthalers are also prepared for when the curtain comes down. Weston’s post-performance Cabaret is a totally unique opportunity; an hour of stand-up comedy and live music in a cozy, comfortable space, featuring Young Company actors and MainStage talent. Entertainment is accompanied by tempting desserts and savory late-night snacks, with a selection of large format beers, carafes of wine, and specialty cocktails. Yankee Magazine calls it the “best place for a nightcap” in Southern Vermont and Abby says it's "an unexpected gem of late night fun in the middle of the mountains.” Join us!
