Round and Round the Garden

British Humor at Its Best

Written by Alan Ayckbourn

Go for a fun-filled romp around the garden in the third play of Alan Ayckbourn’s comic trilogy, The Norman Conquests. See one or all three plays as Weston collaborates with Dorset Theatre Festival and Northern Stage to produce the entire trilogy, right here in Vermont! Hilarious yet deeply human, this comedy will have you aching with laughter as you uncover the secrets swirling around an English country house on a summer weekend. 2 hours 15 minutes with intermission.

Show Notes

  • Hear from Ayckbourn, learn about Weston's production, and read actor interviews in our on the blog

The Norman Conquests is a brilliant comic trilogy telling the same story from the point of view of three different rooms: Living Together follows the romp in the living room; Table Manners times perfectly to show what happens in the dining room, and Round and Round the Garden depicts desperately funny activities in the garden. Each play stands completely on its own, but together, they are a triumph of theatrical imagination. Audience members have traveled from Northern Stage to Dorset Theatre Festival to see the first two plays. Now, we are thrilled to welcome them all to Weston.
