 FAQs

If your question is not answered here, or if you have questions about a specific show (light and sound sensitivities, accessibility requests, etc.) please call the Box Office at 802-824-5288.

  • All 2024 shows have reserved seating. You will select your seats when you purchase your tickets. If you have any questions about seating options or accessibility accommodations, please call the box office before completing your order

  • There are no cash, check, or credit card refunds available if you are unable to attend a performance, although you may have the amount of your purchase stored as a credit on your account to be applied to a future purchase. These credits do not expire. You may also return your tickets to the Box Office as a tax-deductible donation (for which you will receive an acknowledgment letter) or exchange the tickets for another day or performance. See Exchange Policy below.

  • Tickets may be exchanged up to 24 hours prior to the performance you can no longer attend. Tickets may be exchanged for a different performance of the same production only, subject to availability. A $5 per ticket exchange fee will be charged in addition to any applicable ticket upgrade costs. The exchange fee is waived for subscribers. All exchanges must be done 24 hours prior to curtain for your original ticket.

  • As we know, the weather in Vermont can be a little unpredictable. However, as the old saying goes… the show must go on. We might even find the crazy weather makes for a more special evening of live theater! If the weather gets too loud we might hold for an extended moment, but shows will only be cancelled if the weather is extreme – if the safety of our actors, staff, and audiences is at risk. If that is the case, we will do our best to notify ticket holders by email and/or phone two (2) hours before the scheduled start and our Box Office staff will be in touch over the following days either to reschedule your tickets or provide a refund. Outdoor touring productions across Southern and Central Vermont will be canceled if the forecast indicates heavy rain. We will do our best to make this decision two (2) hours before the scheduled start; cancellations will be posted on our website and Facebook pages, and ticket holders will be notified by email.

  • We are required to collect 6% Vermont State sales tax on all orders unless you can provide proof of current tax-exempt status.

  • All discounted tickets must be ordered over the phone or in person at the Box Office unless otherwise noted, including redemption of gift certificates or gift cards. Any discount being used must be mentioned to Box Office personnel before the transaction is complete, as discounts cannot be applied to your order after the transaction has been processed. Discounts cannot be retroactively applied to an order, even if the discount was announced after your ticket purchase.

  • All tickets will be emailed. You may add them to your digital wallet, take a screenshot, or print them if necessary. All tickets will be scanned upon arrival by the Box Office.

If you can find your confirmation email, your ticket link will be included. You can always contact the Box Office and ask for your tickets to be sent to you again. Possible Subject Lines to search for include "You are now a Weston Theater Company Subscriber!"; "Weston Theater Tickets and Important Information"; and "Your Weston Theater Tickets". If you have trouble or can’t find your email, the Box Office will have access to a door list and will be able to help you find your seats upon arrival.

  • The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us. Weston Theater Company will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information. When you purchase tickets with us, your sensitive information is encrypted using industry-standard secure socket layer technology (SSL).

  • First, check your confirmation email to see whether the event requires printed tickets or if check-in will be monitored with a door list. If we’re using a door list, you will not need printed tickets for admission. If we are requiring printed tickets, don’t worry! We have records of all ticket purchases, so just give our Box Office a call at 802-824-5288. We can always re-print your tickets on the night of the event – the purchaser will just need to present ID.

  • Wear what makes you comfortable! It’s a great excuse to dress up for an evening on the town, but casual wear is totally okay too. We do our best to keep our theaters cool in the summer and warm in the winter. For outdoor events, be sure to check the weather forecast for cues on how to dress.

  • Doors into the theater will open 30 minutes prior to performance time. Arriving around that time will allow you plenty of time to park, use the restroom, and find your seat.

  • Life happens! If you are a few minutes late, our House Manager will seat you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we will be unable to seat you without disrupting the performance.

  • Our shows range anywhere from one hour up to three! To learn more about a specific show, visit the show page on this website. Most shows are about two hours and include a 15-minute intermission.

  • Yes, both of our venues have restrooms. We encourage you to use the restroom before the show and/or at intermission to avoid navigating the dark theater or distracting the actors during the show.

  • Concessions will be available for purchase at the theater before the show and at intermission. Feel free to come early and pack a meal to enjoy at our picnic tables in beautiful Vermont in the summer.

  • We ask that you do not bring children under the age of five to our productions, with the exception of the Young Company production.

Please only bring your children to shows that you deem appropriate for their age and maturity level. Please consult individual show pages or contact the Box Office for information on age-appropriateness, parental advisories, or any content warnings to help you make a decision, particularly if you have specific questions or restrictions.

  • We cannot allow photos or videos of the set or performance due to licensing and copyright restrictions.

  • The great thing about theater is that you can enjoy your experience whether you are familiar with the show or not. If you are interested in learning more, you can visit the show page on our website, read the Show Notes, or attend a Pre-Show Talk.
