Health & Safety Protocols

Latest Update: March 1, 2023.

As community levels for Covid remain low, masks will be optional for all patrons and proof of vaccination/negative Covid test is no longer required. Physically distanced seating remains available upon request, based on availability.

These guidelines are subject to change based on updates from the CDC and VT Department of Health. In addition to State and CDC guidelines, we are also observing safety protocols required by the Actors’ Equity Association, the union that allows us to work with so many talented actors and stage managers.

While you are at our venues

Last updated March 1, 2023

In our continuing efforts to create a safe and comfortable environment for our audiences, artists, and staff, we have updated our Covid-19 policy.

Masking Policies are based on the CDC's COVID-19 Community Level Map for BENNINGTON COUNTY.
If “Low” (Green), masks are Optional.
At all other levels: “Medium" (Yellow) & “High” (Red), masks are Required.
Proof of vaccination will no longer be required.

Reference Bennington County for Weston’s Community Level measurement.

The CDC updates the COVID-19 Community Level map every Thursday by 8 PM ET. We encourage show attendees to check the map on the day of the show that they plan to attend.

As we work to make our theater accessible for all, setting an appropriate and effective health and safety plan has been a top priority. Thank you for doing your part in making our return to live performance successful and safe.

  • Masking policies are based on the CDC's COVID-19 Community Level Map for Bennington County.
    IF LOW, masks are optional.
At ALL OTHER LEVELS, masks are required.

See the tool above to determine the current community level for Bennington County.

  • Effective September 12, 2022, proof of vaccination will no longer be required of audience members and visitors.

  • Bottled water is allowed inside the theater. No food, please.

  • Seating capacity at our venues is slightly reduced in order to accommodate high-risk audience members who still require socially distanced seating. Distanced seating can be requested and will be honored based on availability at the time of inquiry. Please contact the box office for this request at 802-824-5288

  • All Weston Theater Company venues maintain a high standard of cleanliness through frequent disinfection of common spaces before and after all performances.

  • To reduce the risk of virus transmission between patrons, ushers, and staff, digital playbills optimized for your mobile device will be made available. Instead of paper tickets, Box Office staff will be using a door list for check-in. There will be no printed tickets, playbills, or other dramaturgical materials.

You play an essential role in allowing us to present live performances safely. With your help, we can maximize health and safety compliance and minimize the disruption of events. All patrons must observe the Weston Theater Company’s Health and Safety Guidelines.

If you're feeling sick and/or experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or may have recently been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home and call the Box Office (802-824-5288) to discuss your options.
